Recommended Application: A combination of 12.5 hi-tensile gauge fencing and polybraid. Effective voltage (6,000-10,000 volts) across 20-60 mile of linear fence. Works well for large commercial operations, heavy vegetation, and multi‑strand hi‑tensile systems. Remember grounding is just as important as the size of your charger. A good rule of thumb for ground is 3' per joule output. That means for this 20-joule unit, you will need at least 60' of ground rod installed.
*IMPORTANT NOTE* Large energizers (6 joules and up) DO NOT come with fence leads like the smaller energizers do. The reason for this is that the fence leads are a small gauge and allow limited energy to pass through the wires and clips.
For larger energizers Speedrite recommends using a 12-10 gauge lead out wire.
